The gospel is glorious news.
I have been thinking so much about Pastor Jay’s Easter message about the twofold greatness of Jesus’ work on the cross for us: He not only completely cancels our debt of sin and brings us pure forgiveness before God but He also credits untold riches into our account: Eternal life! Righteousness! Peace! Hope! Strength!
I don’t know about you, but I need the good news of the gospel as much today as I ever have.
I still need to know that Jesus paid it all and that I no longer have to carry around my sin and shame and fear of the grave. And I still need to know that there’s resurrection power and victory for me to walk in today!
I’m so glad that any day I feel discouraged I can still preach the gospel to myself. Thank you Jesus!
